2020 Annual Meeting Encouraging Team Report Don Thornton, Encouraging Team Lead

Well, it looks like the annual Bi-Stone Prayer Assembly has fallen victim to the COVID 19. It may be wounded, but it isn’t dead. As soon as the virus has passed you can rest assured that plans for the Bi-Stone Prayer Assembly will, once again, be put back in motion.
In the mean-time, this is an excellent time for each of us to nurture and feed our devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ. God has, sort of, set this time aside for us so that we can do that without distraction. Don’t let this opportunity pass in vain.
I don’t know about you, but I am really missing getting together with everyone, so I look forward to the freedom to do that once again. Don’t let this time of quarantine get you down. Just keep in mind that our God, the creator of all that is, and that includes this virus, has it all under His control, and that is not cliché, because it’s true. Whenever the reason for this hiccup has been resolved, it will go away.
In the mean-time, we are moving ahead with plans for the Bi-Stone annual meeting, on October 11, 2020, at First Baptist, Fairfield. Session 1 will begin at 6 pm and Session 2 at 7 pm, with a meal in between. In addition to regular business, there will be music, as well as a keynote speaker. Make your plans to attend. To make ordering the food accurate, please let us know how many are coming from YOUR church. You can pass that information to our Moderator, Chuck Sturgeon, Pastor of FBC, Coolidge. I’m looking forward to seeing you there with all those you are bringing.
We are also making plans for the annual Bi-Stone Christmas Banquet. There is not enough solidified yet, to be able to share with you, but, that will be coming soon.
Be blessed,
Don Thornton, Encourager Team Lead
